The police are looking for a six-finger man,who did an illegal butcher.

In 1884,Light-weight-dog takes meat to a party,where interpreters gather.There,he sees Dr.Watanabe,a Japanese doctor sewing a man's head.

Light-weight-dog's mother is in a critical condition.Light-weight-dog takes his mother to Dr.Watanabe in Embassy of Japan.But he can't pay for her treatment.Mother gets out of the hospital with Light-weight-dog on his back.On their way to home,Mother bleeds from her mouth and they returns to the hospital.

Light-weight-dog decides to do an illegal butcher in order to get money for Mother's treatment.During cutting a cow,the police come there.Light-weight-dog gets money,but he is caught by a inspector,Jung and taken to a hut.

In the hut,Light-weight-dog is ordered to dissect the dead body of six-finger man,who was a friend of Light-weight-dog by Inspector Jung.Inspector was asked by Doyang.Doyang wants
to know about details of organs of human beings.

Light-weight-dog dissects the corpse of six-finger man.

Light-weight-dog goes to Embassy of Japan with money.But his mother passed away just after Light-weight-dog left the hospital.

Light-weight-dog is chased under the accusation of illegal butcher.He runs away with Stick,his friend.They steal ID cards of a man and a valet.

Light-weight-dog is captured by Inspector Jung and taken to water by a boat.He jumps out of the boat into water and shot by Inspector Jung.

Light-weight-dog gets to a riverbank.There, Sukran saves Light-weight-dog.Light-weight-dog loses his consciousness.

Sukran takes Light-weight-dog to her house.Sukran's father is an interpreter,Mr.Yu.

Light-weight-dog gains his consciousness.He has ID card of Hwang Jung,so Sukran's family call his Mr.Hwang.

Light-weight-dog gets out of Sukran's house without saying goodbye.He collapses on a road.Child vagabond saves him.

Light-weitht-dog is made to carry guns for a revolt to Minister Min.Light-weight-dog doesn't know that the guns is for the revolt.

Light-weight-dog carries Minister Min,who hurt, on his back.He meets Mr.Yu again.

Dr.Allen operates on Minister Min.

Doyang's father is about to be killed.Doyang takes his father to Mr.Yun's house.Doyang goes to call
Dr.Allen in order to save his father.

Doyang's father is with Hwang and Sukran.There,Doyang's father's brother,Mr.Baik, comes.He asks Hwang to operate on Doyang's father.Hwang operates on Doyang's father.The operation is over,
but Doyang's father doesn't breathe.He is dead.

Doyang returns with Dr.Allen.Doyang thinks that his father's death is Hwang's fault.

Dr.Allen says to Doyang,"The operation was successful.So,his death isn't Hwang's fault."

Hwang says to Dr.Allen,"I want to be a doctor.I want to be your assistant."Dr.Allen says to Hwang,"I can't accept you."

Minister Min is in critical condition.Dr.Allen treats him with Hwang.

Dr.Allen accepts Hwang as his assistant.

Dr.Allen opens a clinic at his house.On an opening day of the clinic,Hwang is taken to a hut and kicked by Inspector Jung.Inspector Jung hit on his head and loses his consciousness.Hwang takes him to the clinic.

The King comes to the clinic secretly.Dr.Allen treats Inspector Jung.Jung's heart stops.Hwang gives electrical shock on Jung.Jung is alive.Inspector Jung is gone.

Dr.Allen is called by the King.The King says to Dr.Allen,"I want to build up a western medical hospital."

There are bulletins which say westerners eat children all over the city.People throw stones to Jejungwon.

Dr.Allen treats people who hurt during commotion.A patient Dr.Allen tries to operate on is gone.
Dr.Allen goes to his house.

People tie Dr.Allen and Hwang.If Dr.Allen can't save the patient,Hwang gives his hand to people.
Dr.Allen operates on the patient.The operation is over,but the patient doesn't wake up.Hwang's hand is hit by a man.The patient wakes up.

Hwang has a broken bone of his right hand.

The King recruits doctors of Jejungwon.

Dr.Allen asks Sukran to work at Jejungwon as a chaperon.

Since new members enter Jejungwon,Hwang has to take the examination for Jejungwon.The examination includes the English test.Sukran teaches English to Hwang.

Sukran takes the examination disguised as a man.

Hwang takes the examination.147 members take the examination.12 members are supposed to pass.

The last examination is to dissect a pig with a team of 3 members.

Mr.Baik goes to a place to mark English test and changes the English answer sheet of Hwang to another.

The result of the exam is announced.Sukran is the first place.Doyang is the second place.Hwang's name isn't on the board.

Sukran finds out that Hwang is the 13th place.

Sukrang says to Dr.Allen,"I work as a chaperon at Jejungwon."

Sukrang goes to the ceremony disguised as a man.Everyone finds out that the man in the first place is Sukrang.Hwang enters the school as the replacement of Sukrang.

The class begins.

An emergency patient comes.Dr.Allen and Hwang go to the operating room.Hwang sutures.

Mr.Oh fires Sukrang because of financial difficulties.

Sukrang takes Dr.Lilith Horton from the US to Jejungwon.

Dr.Horton operates on a pregnant woman with upside down child.Sukrang helps Dr.Horton.The baby is born safely.Mother is safe,too.

Dr.Horton says to the King,"I'd like Sukrang to be my assistant."The King admits that.

Hwang's father brings meat to Jejungwon.

After Hwang uses a laboratory,a man enters the room.The room is filled with smoke.Just when
Doyang enters the room,nitroglycerin is burned.

Doyang loses consciousness in fire.Hwang saves Doyang.Doyang suffers burns.The fire is fault of a man named Don Kim,Dr.Watanabe sent to Jejungwon.

Dr.Watanabe tries to make the criminal of the arson Hwang.

Smallpox is epidemic.There is no vaccine.

Nakrang is set up by Mr.Baik and leaves Jejungwon.

Hwang sees his father outside of Jejungwon.Hwang wears a mask and his father doesn't notice Hwang.

Everyone finds out the criminal of the arson is Don Kim thanks to Nakrang.

Jejungwon hands out masks and soaps freely in order to prevent spread of smallpox.

Jejungwon wants Mr.Yu to get power of pus.After Mr.Yu gets power of pus,he is attacked by Don Kim.Power of pus is stolen.

Dr.Allen decides to make vaccine for smallpox by reading books.Hwang,Doyang,and Sukrang will
go to a butcher village where Hwang was born in order to make vaccine.

Hwang,Doyang and Sukrang arrive at the village.Hwang wears a mask.Hwang's father shows them to a laboratory.

When they inject pus into a calf,shamans come there and attack them.Doyang fights with shamans.Hwang and Sukrang escape.Hwang meets the village leader.

They can't bring vaccine to Jejungwon.Rest of pus is damaged.

The village leader brings the calf to Hwang's father.Hwang's father brings the calf to Mr.Yu.

Before Jejungwon uses vaccine for people,students try the vaccine.They find out vaccine is safe.
They use vaccine for people.

The King appoints Dr.Allen as a government officer.

Hwang takes ointment to his father in midnight.Sukrang sees that.

Hwang is very tired and can't move his body.

Two patients who need operation come to Jejungwon.Hwang tries to help the operation,but can't do because of pain.

Doyang sutures the blood vessel although Dr.Allen stops that.The patient is dead.

Doyang starts to investigate transfusion.Dr.Allen opposes the transfusion.

Doyang and his friend Yoon exchange their blood.Yoon discharges black urine.Yoon's temperature is down.He is in critical condition.

When Sukrang skates on the royal pond in front of the Queen,the ice of the pond brakes and Sukrang drops into water. Hwang saves Sukrang from the pond.Hwang does artificial respiration to Sukrang.

Dr.Horton operates on Sukran.But,Sukran bleeds too much,so without doing anything,Sukran dies.

Mr.Yu,Sukran's father asks Dr.Allen to give blood to Sukran.Blood of Mr.Yu and Doyang isn't compatible for one of Sukran.Blood of Hwang is compatible.Sukran has a blood transfusion.

Hwang inquires after Sukran.Hwang thinks Sukran sleeps and he says to Sukran,"I'm afraid that blood I,the low status,have made you dirty."

Sukran regains consciousness.

Dr.Heron comes to Jejungwon.

Sukran is convinced that Hwang is the son of Yard-dog.

Dr.Allen makes a wrong diagnosis to a patient.Dr.Heron operantes on the patient for appendicitis.

Sukran gives Hwang a stethoscope.

Dr.Allen goes to the Embassy in the United States under King's order.Dr.Heron becomes the director of Jejungwon.Dr.Allen leaves Jejungwon.

Dr.Watanabe comes to Jejungwon with his assistant.She remembers Hwang is Light-weight-dog.

Doyang wants to become the assistant of Dr.Heron.Doyang cuts his hair in front of Dr.Heron.

Dr.Heron appoints Doyang as his assistant.

Sukran's father is arrested on suspicion of importing of sulfur.He got sulfur because Dr.Allen asked him as medication.

Hwang finds out that sentences about sulfur are written on Dr.Allen's diary.

Hwang and Sukran go to see the patient who used sulfur.On their way,they are attacked by bandits.

Hwang and Sukran meet the patient for the evidence.They take him to the interrogation field.But
they can't prove that Mr.Yu is innocent.

There,Doyang brings a letter written by Dr.Heron.The letter says that Dr.Allen ordered Mr.Yu to bring sulfur as medication.The letter was the one Doyang made himself.The King releases Mr.Yu.

Sukran and Mr.Yu find out that Doyang lied to the King.Doyang sends the letter for his propose to Sukran.Sukran's father writes the approval letter.Just then,Sukran says to her father,"I can't accept Doyang's proposal."

Sukran says to her father,"I'd like you to wait in one day."

The exam for apprentice doctor is around the corner.

Hwang receives a letter from Dr.Allen.The letter says,"Why don't you come to study about medical treatment with Sukran?"

Hwang goes to meet Sukran."Would you marry me?"Hwang kneels down in front of Sukran and puts the ring on her finger.

Sukran says to her father,"I'd like to date with Hwang."

The exam is held.The first place is Hwang.Hwang can help the operation of cataract Dr.Heron makes.The day of the operation comes.

The operation is successful.

Doyang hears from Dr.Watanabe that Hwang is a butcher.At Jejungwon,Hwang meets his father.Hwang sees his father as his first patient.

If Hwang's father has his foot cut,he may die.Hwang's father says,"I don't want to receive the operation."Hwang says in front of everyone,"He is my father."

Dr.Heron and Doyang operate on Hwang's father.

Hwang returns to Light-weight-dog.He returns to his house with his father.

Sakran says to her father,"I want to be a gynecologist."Chilbok,Mr.Yu's servant contracts cholera.The disease seems to be from abroad.

Dr.Heron and Dr.Horton decide to educate Sakran as a doctor.

Dr.Heron and students at Jejungwon go to Jemulpo in order to cure patients with collela and prevent the disease.

Youngin,a daughter of Minister of War comes to Jejungwon.She contracts tuberculosis pleurisy.Only Hwang knows the way of the operation.

Hwang comes to Jejungwon.Hwang gives an advice to Sukran from outside of the operating room. Youngin's throat is clogged with her phlegm.Youngin can't breathe.Hwang enters the operating room.

Hwang cuts her throat in order her to take a breath.Hwang saves her life.

Youngin hangs herself because she is touched by a strange man.

Hwang is arrested.The judge sentences Hwang to death.

The excution of Hwang is in 3 days.

Mr.Yu and Dr.Horton tell the King to save Hwang's life.Dr.Watanabe recommends Hwang to be Japanese.Hwang refuses Dr.Watanabe's suggestion.

Just when Hwang is about to be beheaded,the King calls for Hwang.The King needs Hwang in order to perform the operation on Russian Ministry for traumatic cateract.

Dr.Heron and Hwang operate on the Ministry.The operation is successful.The King abolishes Hwang's butcher status.Hwang becomes a commoner.Hwang returns to Jejungwon.

From now,Hwang sees his patients.Hwang makes a wheelchair for his father.Hwang and his father move to a new house.

Hwang is attacked by subjects of Minister of War.

Hwang's father is attacked by subjects of Minister of War.Hwang takes his father to Jejungwon.
His father dies.

Dr.Heron collapses.

The King orders Dr.Heron to take a brake.Dr.Heron is far from Jejungwon.He is in critical condition.Hwang heads for Dr.Heron.Dr.Heron dies before Hwang arrives there.

Dr.Avison is the fourth director of Jejungwon.The first graduate ceremony of Jejungwon is held.
Hwang,Sakran,Goh is graduated.Doyang isn't there.

Japan builds Hansung Hospital.

Doyang studies at Tokyo imperial medical school.Japanese ninjas attack the palace.

The Queen is killed by the Japanese ninja.Just when Sakran is about to be killed,Hwang comes to save her.Japanese ninjas burn the corpse of the Queen.

Mr.Baik makes a contract Jejungwon lends the annex of Jejungwon to Hansung Hospital without noticing to the director.

Doyang returns to Korea.He works for Hansung Hospital.

Sakuran is asked to help a hospital for women.Sakuran tells Hwang about that.Hwang kisses Sakuran on the lip.

Doyang comes to help Jejungwon.

Hwang escorts the King to go to Russian ministry.

Doyang introduces his fiancee to Sakuran.

Hansung Hospital gets a X-ray machine.

When Lord Lee comes to Jejungwon,Doyang is there and says to Hwang and Lord Lee,"Hansung Hospital has the X-ray.I'll see you with the X-ray."They find the disease of Lord Lee clearly because of the X-ray at Hansung Hospital.Doyang operates on Lord Lee at Hansung Hospital.Hwang assists Doyang.

During the operation,Lord Lee is about to come out from under the anesthetic.Doyang orders Naoko to put under anesthesia.But Hwang says to Doyang,"With the way,Lord Lee is in critical condition.We'll find another way."The operation is successful with Hwang's way.

Don Kim sets a bomb in Lord Lee's ward.There is an explosion.Doyang takes Lord Lee to Jejungwon.

A patient addicted to drugs comes to Jejungwon.He says to Hwang,"I killed your father.The Minister of War ordered me."

Naoko's father ordered to assassinate the Queen.

Doyang sees the Minister of War with X-ray.He has a lung cancer.He has only one year life
without an operation.

Naoko tries to kill herself with sleeping pills.Doyang saves Naoko.

Hwang goes to see the Minister of War at Hansung Hospital.

At first Hwang sees the operation Doyang does on the Minister of War.After a while, Hwang helps the operation.Hwang tries to kill the Minister of War.Doyang and Sukrang stop him.

Doyang and Naoko take a vacation at Onyang.

The war between Russia and Japan begins.

Dr.Watanabe asks Hwang to operate on himself.Hwang says to Dr.Watanabe,"Come to Jejungwon."On his way to Jejungwon,Hwang is hit by Don Kim.

Hwang is taken to Dr.Watanabe.Dr.Watanabe says to Hwang,"If you don't operate on me,I will
kill Sukrang."

Hwang operates on Dr.Watanabe.During the operation,Doyang returns and enters the operating room.Doyang lets Hwang escape.

Dr.Allen comes to the ceremony of a new hospital building.

Korea becomes a part of Japan.

Doyang is awarded a medal because he saved Lord Lee's life.Doyang refuses that.He submits a resignation letter.He returns to Jejungwon.

Doyang and Hwang meet Jung again.Jung is a freedom fighter of Manchuria.They operate on Jung at Jejungwon.

Naoko's father orders Japanese Minister to kill Doyang.

Japanese soldiers come to search for Jung in Jejungwon.

Mr.Yu,Sukrang's father is arrested by Japanese soldiers.

Jung is shot with a gun of a Japanese soldier.Jung asks Hwang to give a letter to General Wie
Huh and dies.

The King hopes Hwang takes over Mr.Yu.

Naoko returns to Japan.

Mr.Yu is sentenced to death.He is shot to death.

Hwang goes to cure General Wie Huh.Hwang takes out of the bullet without anesthesia.

The King,Gojong is made to abdicate the throne by Japan.

Hansung Hospital has an experiment illegal medication with Korean patients.

Hwang decides to take part in a righteous army.Hwang is arrested by Japanese soldiers.Hwang is released thanks to Dr.Allen.

Hwang and Sukrang get married.Japanese soldiers come to arrest Hwang in Jejungwon at the wedding day.

Hwang and Sukrang go to honeymoon.Hwang leaves Jejungwon.Doyang becomes the senior doctor.

Japanese soldiers attack the headquater of the righteous army.Hwang is all right.

At the opening ceremony of Jejungwon Severance Memorial Hospital,Hwang comes and meets Sukrang.

Hwang says to Sukrang,"I work as a military doctor at Manchuria."
